I would definitely recommend Z-Mech. We have worked with Michael for many years, and he has always gone above and beyond for us.
After several frustrating experiences with other HVAC companies trying to keep our relatively new Lennox system running, a friend recommended Michael—and he has not disappointed. We eventually made the difficult decision to replace our system, and Michael helped us transition to a Trane heat pump and air handler in 2021. The system has worked great ever since.
Michael is honest, straightforward, and genuinely cares about keeping his customers comfortable. He has worked tirelessly when we’ve needed him and continues to go out of his way to check on our system and make sure it is running efficiently.
I’ve recommended Z-Mech to several of our neighbors, who have also used Michael and have been very impressed with his work and high standards.
I would highly recommend Z-Mech to anyone in the Greenville area looking for HVAC maintenance, repairs, or a system replacement. It’s hard to find someone you can truly trust, and Michael has earned ours.

I cannot recommend Michael and Z-Mech highly enough for HVAC work!
After spending hundreds of dollars with two largevHVAC companies in Greenville trying to fix an ongoing problem with my girlfriend’s 2-year-old Trane gaspack, I was getting extremely frustrated. Parts were being replaced, money was being spent, and the underlying problem still wasn’t being properly identified.
Then Michael came out—and within 15 minutes, he identified the actual root cause of the problem.
What impressed me most was that Michael didn’t just start replacing parts and hoping the problem would eventually go away. He took the time to diagnose what was actually happening and explained it clearly. That kind of knowledge and diagnostic ability is becoming increasingly difficult to find.
Michael is clearly an expert at what he does, but just as importantly, he is honest, straightforward, and someone I feel I can trust—which, unfortunately, isn’t something I can say about every HVAC company I’ve dealt with.
If you want someone who will actually diagnose the problem instead of throwing parts at it, I strongly recommend Michael and Z-Mech.
Thanks again, Michael, for finally getting to the bottom of this!”

Michael came out on a hot day when my air conditioning was not working. With his systematic checks he was able to get my unit up and not replacing it, which another tech had said was needed and would have cost thousands of dollars.
As other customers have described I agree he stands behind his work and takes care of his customers. I would highly recommend Z-Mech, Michael is the best!

Michael came out and diagnosed the problem with my duel zone heat pump in less than 15 minutes. Turns out I had a couch blocking the return air upstairs causing it to freeze up. I moved the couch out 6 inches and replaced the furnace filters. Air is working great now. He didn’t even charge me, not even for a service call. He’s going to be my HVAC guy from now on!

I strongly recommend Michael and Z-Mech Greenville for HVAC work. He installed our heating and cooling units about 7 years ago, and they have been great. He even replaced a couple small parts at no cost to us. Great attitude, and very professional!

I can't recommend Michael enough for HVAC work, especially if you're considering a mini-split system. He was referred by a trusted neighbor, and his work absolutely lived up to the high recommendation.
I needed an independent cooling solution for my bedroom and, after having used window ACs, decided on a mini-split. While it's a significant investment, Michael provided the lowest quote for a superior Mitsubishi unit, a brand I personally prefer for its quality.
What truly sets Michael apart:
Focused Expertise: He specializes in Mitsubishi, ensuring he's highly knowledgeable and up-to-date on the best solutions. This contrasts with other quotes I received, which felt less informed due to a broader, less focused approach.
Outstanding Customer Service: Michael genuinely prioritizes his existing customers. It's clear his focus is on customer satisfaction, not just profit.
Value: Despite offering a better unit and service, his quote was the most competitive.
If you're looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy, and customer-focused HVAC professional who delivers excellent results and value, Michael is your go-to.

Michael is the most sincere and professional contractor I have ever worked with. I knew that we were likely in need of replacing our aging/leaking HVAC system and that it would be a large expense, and as a result I had some hesitation and many questions. Michael was very understanding and patient, and he took the time to fully address/answer all of my concerns. Not only did Michael's demeanor alone win me over, but I got several quotes from some of the larger companies in town and he beat them all. We are now happily enjoying our new AC and Heat Pump, and experiencing lower utility bills year round. Due to Michael's attentiveness and care for his clients, something that I expected to be very stressful (having to pay for a costly but necessary home improvement), actually resulted in a very pleasurable experience. I'd recommend Z-Mech to anyone.
